I have a suggestion that is not unlike Scream's idea of a challenges/contests place. It kind of builds on it you could say. You could have a specific challenge, but there can be more then one entrant, and each entrant gets either galleons or house points for their entry. However, then finalists are chosen and they could receive either more housepoints, and/or more galleons. From there a winner is chosen, and they either get more galleons/more housepoints.
This could be especially effective if for an entry you win housepoints. For being a finalist you receive either more housepoints, or some galleons. And for being the winner you receive more housepoints, and more galleons. It would probably be easier to set up, and be more succesful, for when there are more people. Just an idea
